Training of aviation specialists

From May 19 to 23, 2025, the Educational and Scientific Institute of Continuing Education conducted advanced training courses “Systems of electro-lighting and technical support of flights at airfields and heliports of state and civil aviation” for specialists of the State Enterprise “Ukrainian Aviation and Transport Enterprise “Khoriv-AVIA” (Uzhhorod). The course instructors are Associate Professor of the Department of Computerized Electrical Systems and Technologies of the ACF, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Svitlana DEVYATKINA and Senior Researcher of the Scientific Group, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Serhiy VANETSYAN.

The course program is based on the requirements of the ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices for electro-lighting support of flights at airfields and heliports of state and civil aviation. During the lectures and practical sessions, the technical requirements for ground visual aids of aerodromes and heliports, their power supply systems, theoretical and practical aspects of the reliability of aerodrome light equipment and methods of risk management for flight safety at the stage of visual piloting in simple and complex meteorological conditions were discussed.
