Discussion of the project “Psychology of extreme and crisis situations”
May 19, 2020 at 15-00 on the Zoom platform there was a round table with stakeholders to discuss the project OPP “Psychology of extreme and crisis situations” in the specialty 053 “Psychology”.
The participants of the round table were NPP of the Department of Vocational Education Management NNINO, Director of NNINO Deinega II, Deputy Director Kovach VO, as well as stakeholders: Tabachnikov SI, Professor, Doctor of Medicine, Academician of NAS MO Ukraine, Director of the State Institution “Research Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine”; Melnychuk TI, Ph.D., senior researcher at the Institute of Psychology named after GS, Kostyuk NAPS of Ukraine; Tkach VB, a leading specialist of the National Bureau for the Investigation of Aviation Incidents and Incidents with Civil Aircraft.
The proposed educational and professional program “Psychology of extreme and crisis situations” allows to provide modern and high-quality training of masters of psychology in the field of professional psychology. The professional competencies and learning outcomes defined by the educational program testify to the high level of professional training of graduates, provide a wide range of their professional activities and high competitiveness in the labor market. The effectiveness of the educational process is ensured by its logical construction, clearly thought-out and balanced structure of the program, a rational combination of theoretical training and practical training. All stakeholders emphasized that the course program allows to give the student a holistic view of the structure and nature of the psychological aspects of personality in extreme conditions and in times of crisis of personality development; a system of scientific psychological concepts that reflect this structure; knowledge of key problems and challenges facing the individual in the process of interaction with extreme situations, as well as the basic methodological principles and theoretical foundations for their solution.
As a wish, it was expressed that in the structure of professional competencies should pay attention to the formation of future specialists’ ability to apply methods of diagnosis of extreme and
crisis states, identify them with the specific effects of stressors that cause them; constructive methods of forming readiness to overcome extreme and crisis situations and
methods of self-regulation.
Given the needs of the labor market, the content of the presented educational program, the high level of educational process, all supported the decision to recommend an educational-professional program “Psychology of Extreme and Crisis Situations” to prepare applicants for the second (master’s) level of higher education 053 Psychology.
