Open lecture of Doctor of Science in Public Administration, Professor of the Department of Public Management and Administration Tetyana Vasylivna Gogol
On October 9, 2024, an open lecture on the topic “Sustainable territorial development: the experience of implementing academic mobility in Brazil” was held at the Educational and Scientific Institute of Continuing Education. The lecture was conducted by Tetyana Gogol, professor of the department of public management and administration, doctor of sciences in public administration.
The event was organized within the framework of the discipline “Fundamentals of sustainable development” for students of the first (bachelor’s) level of higher education, specialty 281 “Public management and administration”. In addition to the target audience, the lecture was attended by master’s students, post-graduate students and scientific and pedagogical workers of NNINO, which indicates a wide interest in the topic.
Professor Gogol shared a unique experience gained during academic mobility as a visiting professor of the Regional Development and Agribusiness Postgraduate Education Program (PGDRA) of the State University of Western Parana UNIOESTE in the Federal Republic of Brazil.
Key aspects of the lecture covered:
- Foreign experience in measuring the sustainable development of territories;
- Obligations of universities regarding the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the context of the UN 2030 Agenda;
- Methodology of analysis and reporting on sustainable development based on the Brazilian experience;
- Practical aspects of the implementation of international agreements aimed at supporting research initiatives in the field of sustainable territorial development.
Particular attention was paid to the role of scientific, technological and innovative institutions in the formation of advanced knowledge about sustainable territorial development. Professor Gogol emphasized the importance of international cooperation to solve global challenges of sustainable development.
The lecture aroused considerable interest among students, as it provided an opportunity not only to gain theoretical knowledge, but also to get acquainted with the practical experience of solving topical issues of restoring and strengthening the Ukrainian economy through the prism of science and innovation.
The event received a high rating from both students and teaching colleagues, noting the high scientific and educational-methodical level of the presentation of the material. Conducting such interdisciplinary lectures with an international context contributes to the expansion of students’ outlook and improves the quality of the educational process at NNINO.
This open lecture became an important step towards the integration of international experience into the Ukrainian educational system and emphasized the importance of academic mobility for the development of science and education in the context of global challenges of sustainable development.
