Within the framework of cooperation between the National Aviation University and the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine in the period from October 21, 2024 to November 02, 2024 on the basis of three NAU structures – the Department of Military Training, the Educational and Scientific Institute of Continuing Education and the Center of veteran development took offline advanced training courses under the program “Increasing the qualifications of teaching staff of general education institutions that conduct initial combined military training, carry out an educational process of a military-patriotic orientation and have the status of a participant in hostilities”.

The program is developed on the basis of the Standard program of advanced training courses for teaching staff who conduct initial combined military training with an emphasis on in-depth study of the basics of civil defense, tactical medicine of military applied sports and unmanned systems.

The program was mastered by 24 trainees, all of whom have the status of a participant in hostilities and work in general education institutions in almost all regions of Ukraine.

Classes were conducted in constant dialogue and cooperation of both teachers and students. At the beginning of the classes, the students received a questionnaire with their wishes and expectations from the future program, and at the end, they received a feedback questionnaire regarding the quality of the training received.

In the process of mastering the course program, both scientists and practitioners were involved. The listeners received a significant package of modern scientific-methodical and practical literature. We got acquainted with applied military sports and some types of modern unmanned systems.

On Saturday, November 2, there was a release with a rich and interesting program. Excursions were organized for the listeners in the Aviation Training Hangar and the NAU History Museum. After these events, a final session was held – a round table devoted to problematic issues in the study of the subject “Defense of Ukraine” and ways to solve them.

And then came the long-awaited moment – the presentation of certificates!
