Applicants for a master’s degree in specialty 281 Public Management and Administration successfully defended their qualification theses
In December 2024, 36 2nd year Master’s degree applicants in specialty 281 Public Management and Administration of the educational and professional program “Management in Public Administration Bodies” of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Continuing Education of the State University of Kyiv Aviation Institute”.
Tamara Viktorivna Ivanova, Doctor of Science in Public Administration, Professor, Honored Worker of Education of Ukraine, Professor of the Department of Regional Policy of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Public Administration and Civil Service of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, was invited as the Head of the Examination Commission.
The supervisors of the qualification theses were experienced scientific and pedagogical employees of the department: acting head of the department Professor Kozhina A.V., Professor Lelechenko A.P., Professor Deynega I.I., Professor Marusheva O.A., Professor Hryshchenko I.M., Professor Sydorchuk L.A., Professor Kocherov M.V., Associate Professor Gelich A.O.
Master’s degree applicants presented the results of their work on topical topics in the field of public management and administration and demonstrated their ability to present scientific achievements and answers to questions posed by the commission members.
Among the areas of research presented were: the policy of overcoming poverty and inequality in Ukraine during martial law, planning the development of territorial communities during modern challenges and threats, preservation and development of the human resource potential of the public service during martial law, management culture in the activities of public authorities, gender equality in public administration, organization of a digital workplace when performing official duties by public servants, ensuring the stability of critical infrastructure during martial law in Ukraine, organization of the activities of public authorities in emergency situations, energy security as a component of Ukraine’s national security, application of Smart technologies to enhance the security of megacities during martial law in Ukraine, management of life in large cities of Ukraine during martial law, features of public policy regarding the protection of combatants and many others.
Thus, the applicants demonstrated the relevant knowledge and skills acquired during their studies in the master’s degree for further opportunities to start a career as a public servant.
