Advanced training of aviation specialists in Georgia

In the period from 13 to 20 October 2021, the NAU Training and Research Institute of Continuing Education conducted advanced training courses under the program “Global Runway Surface Reporting Format (GRF)” for two groups of aviation specialists in Georgia. The training was conducted at the airports of Tbilisi and Kutaisi.

The participants of the courses are representatives of the Association of Airports of Georgia LLC, TAV URBAN Georgia LLC, the Association of Airports of Georgia, Tbilisi International Airport, Batumi, Kutaisi, Mestia and Ambrolauri Airports.

The program of courses is made in accordance with the requirements of ICAO in connection with the introduction from November 4, 2021 of a new methodology for assessing and reporting on the condition of the runway. The course is designed for specialists of aerodrome services, safety management services, aerodrome operators, providers, airlines, meteorological services and other aviation entities involved in collecting data on the state of the runway and bringing this information to end users.
