The Veterans Development Center has been opened on the basis of NAU: A new step to support the defenders of the country

On August 18, 2023, the Center for Veteran Development was opened on the basis of the National Aviation University, which is designed to provide veterans and combatants with an important resource for their further professional and personal development.

Among those present: Deputy Minister of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine for digital development, digital transformations and digitization Tetyana Kalita, deputy head of the KMDA for the exercise of self-governing powers of the KMDA Maryna Honda, first vice-rector of NAU – candidate of economic sciences. associate professor – Oleksiy Mykhalchenko, director of NNINO NAU – Ph.D. – Artem Slyunyaev, representatives of the veteran community and mass media and other honored guests.

The Center for Veteran Development was created to provide comprehensive support to veterans after the end of their service or participation in combat operations. It is an initiative aimed at creating a favorable environment for veterans, where they can continue their development and reach new heights using their skills and experience.

The center will offer the following opportunities:

Educational programs: Veterans will be able to participate in specialized educational programs that will help them gain new knowledge and skills in various fields.

Professional development: The center will provide an opportunity for veterans to improve their professional skills and acquire new ones, taking into account the modern requirements of the labor market.

Psychological support: Specialists in psychology will provide veterans with counseling and support to overcome stressful situations and adapt to civilian life.

Network of partners: The center will work with government agencies, businesses and other community organizations to provide veterans with opportunities to find support in various aspects of life.
Oleksiy Mykhalchenko, the first vice-rector of NAU, emphasized that the opening of the Center is an important step to support those who dedicated their lives to the security and peace of the country, and expressed hope for the successes and achievements of veterans with the help of new opportunities.

In conclusion, the Deputy Minister of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine for digital development, digital transformations and digitalization presented thanks from the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine for personal courage and devotion to the state, patriotism, dedication, active participation and initiative in supporting the Defenders of Ukraine and their members families to representatives of the veteran community, namely: Skuz Leonid Georgiyovych, Zony Viktor Volodymyrovych, Ushev Roman Romanovych, Krasytsky Petr Volodymyrovych, Krasyuk Roman Yuriyovych and Ovchynnikov Serhiy Igorevich.
