External practical classes on the basis of executive authorities
Scientific and pedagogical staff of the Department of Public Management and Administration actively use modern methods of teaching disciplines. Yes, on September 20 on the initiative of the professor of the department Milena Vyacheslavivna Kravchenko, an on-site class on the discipline “Public service and human resources management” was organized and conducted for students of higher education of the 1st year of the Master’s program (Management in Public Administration) and Bachelor’s program “Public management and administration”.
The purpose of the lesson is to acquaint students with the features of public service based on the example of the State Tourism Agency of Ukraine (DART).
The students had the opportunity to meet with the head of the agency, Maryana Igorivna Oleskiv, representatives of various structural units of DART, in particular on issues of strategic planning, coordination of tourism infrastructure development in the regions, licensing and categorization, international cooperation and protocol, public relations and legal work , personnel management and corruption prevention, etc.
During the meetings, the students learned how the state body works, the challenges and difficulties in its activities, and most importantly, as Maryana Igorivna noted, “this is motivation – participation in major changes that affect society.”
